Knowing that it is appointed unto all
ones to die, and being infirm and of feable health though of
sound and disposing mind, I make and ordain this to be my
last will and testament. Vis.
Item 1st The negro and other pro perty therefore given to my son Joseph Henry Howard. I do him by will and bequeath, and confirm to him and his heirs to have and to hold, the same to the exclusion of all others.
Item 2nd The negro and other property heretofore given to my son Leonidas Howard I do hereby will bequeth and confirm to him and his heirs to have and to hold the same to the exclusion of all others.
Item 3rd The negro and other property heretofore given to my daughter Mary Edith Howard wife of Wm Charles Campbell Howard I will bequeath and confirm to her and her heirs to have and to hold the same to exclusion of all others.
Item 4th The negro and other pro perty heretofore given to my son Charles Malone Howard I will bequeath and confirm to him and his heirs to have and to hold the same to the exclusion of all others.
Item 5th The negro and other property heretofore given to my son Nehemiah Milton Howard I will bequeath and confirm to him and his heirs to have and to hold the same to the exclusion of all others.
Item 6th My estate both real and personal of which I am lawfully enjoy and posess at the time of my death I leave to be disposed of as follows - Vis - that my ne groes remain on the plantation and cultivate the same under the management and control of the Executers to this will and the proceeds of their labour or as much thereof as my wife Julia Howard thinks therefore used for the support of herself.
