Commissioner of Pensions

Sir
I herewith enclose an application for a pension from the date of discharge January 19th 1872 to the 13th February 1880. these papers were presented to Commissioner Bently by Alex M Kenaday of Washington D.C. who for some reason or other took no action in the case. I now enclose them direct to the Commissioners of Pensions, hoping that he may take a favorable view of my application after faithfully served my country for thirty five years, and am now old and disabled. After these papers were returned to me I made application to the Board of Commissioners of the Soldiers Home at Washing D.C. who have paid me a commutation of Eight dollars per month since the 13th of Feby 1880.
