Maria Spikings, wife of the late James S. Spikings, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Fletcher Brown, Monday morning, Feb. 27, 1905, aged 79 years. Mrs. Spikings wasa born in the state of New Hampshire. After her marriage she removed with her husband to the state of Illinois, and became a resident of Chicago in 1840. In 1862 they removed with their family to Indiana where she resided until after the death of her husband, March 19, 1897. She then removed to Chicago and there resided continually until last fall, when she a??? became a resident of Valparaiso. She was a member of the All Believers chirch, ??? street and Normal Ave??? Chicago. She lived strong in the faith and devoted m??? her life work to its teaching. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She is survived by three sons and two daughters and a multitude of friends to mourn their loss.

Mrs. Maria A. Spikings died at 1:15 o'clock this morning at the home of fher daughter, Mrs. Fletcher Brown, near Flint Lake. The deceased formerly lived in Chicago, but has made her home with her daughter since last fall. The funeral will be held from the home Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock conducted by Rev. J. H. O. Smith. Internment will be at Maplewood.
