The above is in the handwriting of the applicant Sergeant Rounds. His general good conduct and usefulness, while in the capacity of Orderly Sergeant, and afterwards Q Master Sergt of the Regiment – gave satisfaction to the officers under whom he served. He served faithfully, and with distinction through the Mexican War, and is well qualified, and worthy to hold the position he applies for.
