Affidavit of C. P. Swift and Joseph R. Pratt


The State of Arkansas
County of Sebastian

Before the undersigned authority this day personally appeared C. P. Swift and Joseph R. Pratt both of whom are to me well known and whom I certify to be a good Trustworthy reliable and Credible Citizens of the County and State aforesaid, and after being duly sworn depose and say they are personally and well aquatinted with Lyman. F. Rounds who is now an applicant for a Pension from the State of Texas. and affiants say he is the same identical Lyman. F. Rounds referred to in the accompanying and annexed Certificate from the Commissioner of the General Land office of the State of Texas the Hon J. J. Groos dated General Land Office Austin March 6th 1875. and affiants state that the said Lyman. F. Rounds is the same identical Lyman. F. Rounds to whom Bounty Land Warrant No 17 for 1280 acres of land issued by Barnard E. Bee on the 3rd day of November A. D. 1837 for military services rendered the Republic of Texas in the Revolution which separated Texas from Mexico between the 1st day of January A D 1832 and the 15th day of October A D 1836.
